UPCIRCLE BEAUTY

REPURPOSED SKINCARE TO LOVE!

UpCircle Beauty is on a mission to leave the world better than we found it by transforming ingredients that would otherwise be discarded into natural, organic beauty products – better for you, better for the world.

UPCIRCLE STORY

Have you ever wondered how much waste we are creating with all those coffee grounds that we waste every morning drinking our favorite beverage?

Back in 2015 William and Anna, Co-founders of UpCircle and a group of friends in London had that same question going through their minds. It was a whole lot of waste and they decided they needed to do something about it.

Giving all those coffee grounds a new life was how UpCircle was born. What started as a trip to one coffee shop has now grown into hundreds of coffee shops across London.

HOW DO THEY MAKE AN IMPACT?

The name UpCircle itself says what the company is all about and that is circular economy. Knowing that food ingredients can have a powerful impact on our body both inside and out and the fact that ⅓ of food produced gets wasted they used the opportunity to create beauty products from discarded food ingredients that could still give much more.

They upcycle coffee grounds from local coffee shops (brewing increases antioxidants), fruit stones leftover from the fruit oil production (rich in vitamins A, C, E) and chai spices for the intoxicating aroma.

All of the UpCircle products are vegan, cruelty-free, palm oil-free, with no parabens, SLS, SLEs, parfum or sulfates. Their ingredients are organic and COSMOS-approved.

It doesn’t stop there! The company recognizes the fact that 120 billion units of packaging are produced every year by the global cosmetics industry and most of them end up in landfills.

Their packaging  is 99% plastic-free with plastic-free refill options for the 1%. In addition to that, their marketing materials are made from paper that’s made from recycled coffee cups and they only use paper tape which has been made from recycled fibres.
