BLUE HERON BOTANICALS STORY
At her young age, Theora-founder of Blue Heron Botanicals experienced the importance of self sustainable living. Surrounded by the beautiful Adirondack and Green Mountains she developed a deep love for nature. That love guided her through life later on.
While studying horticulture at the University of Vermont, Theora received the incredible opportunity to intern with a local Burlington based herbalist. During this internship Theora conceived the recipe for her landmark product, Wound Warrior.
She always dreamed of the idea of living in the Pacific Northwest and she eventually followed her dreams. There she found her nest and established herself as a healer and an advocate for the medicinal properties of nature.
It was in North California where Blue Heron Botanicals was born and today runs and operates as a sustainable and eco-conscious company.
HOW DO THEY MAKE AN IMPACT?
At the foundations of everything they do at Blue Heron Botanicals is their focus to reduce their impact on the Earth while positively impacting the community by creating wellness products that are good for your body and the planet.
All of their products are made using traditional herbal medicine making methods with fresh, organic and locally sourced ingredients, derived from nature.
The company understands that plastic plays a big role in pollution so they made their eco-tubes to be 100% biodegradable and home compostable and all of their packaging is 100% compostable, recyclable or reusable! In addition to this, their production facility is 100% solar powered plus they try to use as little power and water as possible while creating their products.
Blue Heron Botanicals use 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper and FSC sustainably sourced wood for all of their displays, packaging, business cards, and other paper needs.
It is also very important to mention that Blue Heron Botanicals is a proud sponsor of the Billion Baby Sea Turtles initiative through SEE Turtles.
