Full Circle Home: Everything You Need for a Zero Waste Home

Posted by Snow on

Full Circle Home is one of our favorite sustainable brands at Green Eco Dream. They’ve become a household name (literally!) in millions of homes. With eco-friendly home goods for the bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, and cleaning, they’re the place to turn when we’re in need of some sustainable sparkle.

Brand Spotlight: Full Circle Home

The concept for Full Circle Home was started by four friends—while gathered together for a waste-free Thanksgiving, no less. They decided to create products that weren’t JUST aesthetically pleasing, JUST environmentally responsible, or JUST functional: they would be all three!

Fast forward several years and the brand is now committed to super-functional, stylish, and eco-conscious goods for daily life. Full Circle Home care products are a more sustainable alternative to traditional household essentials. They’re made with materials like bamboo, organic cotton, linen, recycled and plant based plastic, ceramic, and glass.

What Products Does Full Circle Home Make?

Here to support a zero waste home, Full Circle Home has a product range that can satisfy nearly any eco-conscious cleaning and cooking needs.

To help you achieve zero waste at home, you can turn to Full Circle Home for their:

Recycled Microfiber Essential Cloths that divert 6 plastic bottles from the ocean!

Ziptuck Lunch Bag, a reusable alternative to single-use sandwich and snack bags

Fresh Air Compost Bags that are certified compostable and biodegradable and provide a way to store kitchen scraps

4-Piece Reusable Market Bag Set to make BYOB (bring your own bag) easy while grocery shopping

Ceramic Sink Caddy, which is made of ceramic and recycled plastic and keeps dish sponges fresher for longer

Refillable Glass Spray Bottle that can be filled with DIY all-purpose cleaner

Plant Based Dishcloths that replace paper towels and have an ability to absorb 20x their weight

Is Full Circle Home a Sustainable Brand?

In addition to making eco-friendly products, Full Circle Home has the sustainability practices to back them up.

Many of their materials are supported by third-party certification:

  • Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) for organic cotton
  • Global Recycled Standard (GRS) for recycled plastic
  • USDA Certified Biobased for plant-based materials

In addition to being made of eco-friendly materials, their products are designed to be replaced, not disposed of. For many items, replacement heads and brushes are available to ensure continued use of the other components.

They also keep production local to reduce the carbon emissions of transportation. By supporting reforestation and other projects, they offset the emissions of their international shipping—making it verified carbon neutral.

Considered both an environmentally and socially sustainable brand, Full Circle Home also gives back to people. Some products, like their Parchment Baking Sheets, for example, contribute 1% of sales to help provide meals to food-insecure communities.

It’s no wonder they’re a Certified B Corp!

Is Full Circle Plastic Neutral?

But perhaps the standout sustainability feature of Full Circle Home is the fact that they're a Plastic Neutral company. Exactly what does plastic neutral mean?

For every ounce of plastic that goes into Full Circle’s eco-friendly home products, an equivalent plastic is collected from the environment. Through a partnership with Plastic Bank®, the plastic is then recycled as Social Plastic®”—meaning that the ocean-bound plastic provides social and economic impact for those who collect it.

Collectors receive a premium for the plastic they collect. This provides funds for family necessities like school tuition, health insurance, and groceries. So far, they’ve worked with Plastic Bank® and Full Circle Home to collect more than 110,231 pounds of plastic. That’s equivalent to a blue whale!

Additionally, Full Circle Home is well on their way to completely ditching plastic in their packaging. By 2025, they plan to use exclusively recycled plastic.
